Beyoncé Opens Memorial for Kobe and Gigi Bryant With Purple and Gold Nails

On Monday, February 24, a tribute was held for NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi, who had been each tragically killed in a helicopter crash in January. Beyoncé opened the memorial at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California, with shifting renditions of “XO” and “Halo.” The tracks ended up superbly woven alongside one another and integrated a gospel choir, with Beyoncé repeating the lyrics “Halo, don’t fade absent.”

The singer-songwriter was introduced as “a pretty near good friend of the Bryant household” and appeared to be singing immediately to Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s widow and Gigi’s mom, through the functionality. As she started singing “XO,” Beyoncé pointed to the sky and mentioned: “I am in this article because I enjoy Kobe, and this was one particular of his beloved tunes. I want you to sing it so loud, they’re going to hear your enjoy.”

To more honor the former basketball gamers, Beyoncé’s search was entirely influenced by the Lakers’ colours. She wore a magnificent gold suit and an amethyst ring and earrings. Furthermore, her nails ended up painted purple and emblazoned with Kobe and Gigi’s names penned in gold letters.
